September 12, 2019 – February 23, 2019
Remember Where You Are presents work by four emerging artists based in San Antonio and Chicago who use performance, sculpture, and textiles to make visible untold narratives of heritage and place, while questioning practices of exclusion and erasure. Their works are informed by layering personal and public histories to imagine new methods for navigating the world around us.The Patio

773-293-2070Chicago Printmakers Collaborative is pleased to present SOFT, an exhibition of prints and textiles curated by Victoria Marie Barquin and Cassie Tompkins. In addition to exploring the shared appreciation for craft, repetition, imagery, and physicality between textile and print production, SOFT confronts the often gendered interpretation of the word by exhibiting works that are all at once emotive, graphic, skillful, and strong. This exhibition will feature artwork by Meg Roberts Arsenovic, Bukola Koiki, Melissa Leandro, Nicole Del Rio, Sonnenzimmer (Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi), Fraser Taylor, Cassie Tompkins, and Chris Williford.

Featured Artist Interview, Pages 22-23. Los Tejidos de Melissa Leandro by Esmeralda M. GuerreroTime Share
May 10 - June 14, 2019
The exhibition Time Share makes reference to those dwellings with shared ownership as a lens for considering artist collectives like Monaco, and to engender a spirit of mutuality that is required in such communal spaces. The exhibition takes as its prompt the generosity of Sage Dawson, a member of Monaco, who has given her curatorial opportunity for this exhibition to take place. The artists featured in Time Share make work that parallel aspects of Dawson’s studio practice. Though each artist pursues divergent aspirations, common threads are seen throughout the work and include formal and material sensitivity, as well as reference to domesticity and architecture and an overall concern for the identity of space. Collectively, the works allude to a domestic-like setting that is necessary to instill a sense of community and reciprocity.2701 Cherokee Street
